Culinary Team USA 2016

Being selected as a member of Team USA was a humbling and thrilling experience to say the least.  It was like having a second full time job for the 3 plus years of the team.  It was one of the best experiences of my professional career. I grew more professionally and skill based in that 3 years than I can express here.  One of our coaches told us that in 2 years on the team your skill advance 10 years.  Why?  Because you are now surrounded by 8-10 individuals who are just as talented, passionate and driven.  All of us having strengths and weakness, but it gives you the chance to grow and develop at light speed by constantly being interjected into those situations, of team, goal setting, development, organization and discipline on a world stage. By us always working and pushing each other harder and more efficiently we were able to retain the world championship in the Culinary Art/Cold Food Category through both the World Cup and IKA.
