Southbend’s self-contained refrigerated bases are designed for high performance and durability in busy kitchens. Constructed from high-quality stainless steel, these bases come in widths ranging from 32” to 120”, and are built to support various modular sectional range tops. The heavy-duty, self-closing drawers glide smoothly on stainless steel rollers and can hold standard 12” x 20” x 4” pans (pans not included), offering ample storage space for ingredients. Equipped with a CFC-free refrigeration system, these bases feature an expansion valve for rapid temperature recovery, ensuring consistent cooling throughout.

The CFC-free polyurethane foam insulation provides excellent temperature retention, while the stainless steel construction—including the top, front, sides, back, drawers, and interior cavity—ensures long-lasting durability and easy maintenance. The refrigerator base also includes 6” adjustable stainless steel legs, allowing for easy leveling, and coved interior corners that meet NSF Standard #7 for effortless cleaning. Additionally, the condensate evaporator pan is standard on models 72” and above, further improving efficiency. For precise temperature control, an adjustable digital thermostat is included, and the mullion coils are coated to resist corrosion, ensuring maximum airflow for even cooling.

Operating on 120V single-phase 50/60Hz AC power, Southbend’s self-contained refrigerated bases are built to meet the demands of the busiest kitchens. These units come with a 2-year warranty on specified operational parts, a 5-year warranty on the compressor, and 1 year on labor from the date of purchase.
