The Southbend Oyster Cookers feature a type 316 stainless steel inner and outer shell with a #4 finish and one-piece welded construction. Each 2-quart cooker includes a tilt handle and heat-resistant knob for 90° tilting and complete emptying. The stainless steel mounting legs incorporate the steam supply and condensate, with the right leg fitted with a steam control valve. A stainless steel lift-off cover is provided.
The cookers are mounted on a cabinet base with a full perimeter angle frame, reinforced counter, and spillage sink with drain and drain screen. The base includes boiler mountings, a gas boiler with controls, hinged doors with magnetic catches, removable side panels, and 6” (152 mm) stainless steel legs with 4 adjustable flanged feet for floor securing. The exterior is finished with #4 stainless steel.
The steam manifold is concealed within the cabinet and features a steam trap and safety relief valve. The unit comes standard with CSD-1 boiler controls, electronic ignition, split water line, and automatic blowdown.
